چکیده

Abstract Background In the past years, transcatheter aortic-valve replacement (TAVR) has risen as a feasible and safe option for patients with aortic stenosis, been now an of treatment in low-risk (Euroscore II <4%) over 75 years.1 Evidence this self-expandable supraanular bioprothesis Evolut have widely proven to be no inferior surgical valve replacement.2 Nevertheless, experience annular prothesis Portico available population is scarce. Purpose We present our early population. Methods retrospectively studied 219 symptomatic who underwent TAVR procedure valves between 2018 2021. Assessment included echocardiogram, immediate 30-day follow-up, well last clinical visit follow-up. 92 subjects received prothesis. Our reference group was suprannular (n=127), already validated trials.2 Results The mean age 79 43.4% were women, all at low risk (2.2 [1.6; 3.0]). No significant differences could appreciated baseline demographics echocardiographic characteristics except body mass index (BMI), which higher (p<0.001) (Table). Procedure length similar, particular need predilation according recommendations. Both had similar rates intraprocedural atrioventricular block, bleeding, vascular complications, stroke, new onset atrial fibrillation. Mean gradients before discharge lower than group, residual regurgitation almost inexistent both groups (Table 1). At follow up, incidence major adverse cardiac events among (p=0.6) (Figure 1), permanent pacemaker implantation, heart failure admission, bleeding o complication Conclusion Annular alternative AS undergo procedure. Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: A Review Article

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a novel therapeutic intervention for the replacement of severely stenotic aortic valves in high-risk patients for standard surgical procedures. Since the initial PARTNER trial results, use of TAVR has been on the rise each year. New delivery methods and different valves have been developed and modified in order to promote the minimally invasive p...

Transcatheter aortic-valve replacement with a self-expanding prosthesis.

BACKGROUND We compared transcatheter aortic-valve replacement (TAVR), using a self-expanding transcatheter aortic-valve bioprosthesis, with surgical aortic-valve replacement in patients with severe aortic stenosis and an increased risk of death during surgery. METHODS We recruited patients with severe aortic stenosis who were at increased surgical risk as determined by the heart team at each ...

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement with the St. Jude Medical Portico valve: first-in-human experience.

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the feasibility and procedural outcomes with a new self-expanding and repositionable transcatheter heart valve. BACKGROUND Transcatheter aortic valve replacement is a viable option for selected patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. However, suboptimal prosthesis positioning may contribute to paravalvular regurgitation, atriov...

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement with a new self-expanding transcatheter heart valve and motorized delivery system.

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to demonstrate feasibility and short- and midterm clinical outcomes with a new self-expanding transcatheter heart valve and motorized delivery system. BACKGROUND Refining transcatheter aortic valve replacement with newly designed bioprostheses and delivery systems is anticipated to facilitate the procedure, reduce the risk of complications, improve outcome...

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation Compared With Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement in Low-Risk Patients.

BACKGROUND The proven efficacy of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in high-risk patients is leading to the expansion of its indications toward lower-risk patients. However, this shift is not supported by meaningful evidence of its benefit over surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR). This analysis aims to describe outcomes of TAVI versus SAVR in low-risk patients. METHODS AND R...
